I am so obsessed with figs. Every season comes and I declare that strawberries are my favorite, or cherries, or peaches, but then it’s fig season and I remember that they can’t be topped.
You should definitely experiment with fish! I like it lots of ways now, but really my favorite is just a whole baked fish that’s been drizzled with olive oil, salt, pepper, and sometimes a squeeze of lemon before being popped into the oven.
Is it the flavor that you don’t like? Some fish here put me off because of the texture...
Thanks!! Yeah I’ve definitely expanded my palate since moving here. Even in the past couple of years I’ve ended up liking some things I didn’t used to when I first moved here (like the cuttlefish!).
OK, figs are the best! When we lived in California I could not get enough figs and arugula. :)
Nowadays there's a definite season and if I blink I miss it. Figs!❤️
I wish I liked fish. I want to like it. I need to experiment.

I totally agree.
Here in the U.S., it seems like salmon is everyone's go to. I can't stand salmon. LOL. I'm definitely a white fish girl.
I mean, olive oil, lemon, some seasoning...perfection.
When we lived in Chicago, the people across the hall would cook fish on a regular basis. It drove us crazy. The smell!
Ahh yes the fish smell! They needed a kitchen door like the ones in Spain 🤣
You've got that right!
You have evolved into a great cook! Though you cooked a great meal before going to Spain, you have tried new things I never thought you would 🥰
