Honestly I've not looked - I've still only just started my last massive jar of it from when I went to Costco (and the speed of consumption helps that J's go-to is English, the Dijon is for me and for cooking!) though I know my mother now has a massive supply as she had to buy a massive bulk buy outer of jars online to be able to find it at all - I'll just steal some of hers...!
Who knew mustard seeds mainly come from Canada, that was a bit of a surprise for me as well. David's newsletter is the first Substack publication I ever subscribed to! I especially enjoy his Instagram live grocery shopping hauls, such a fun guy 😆
David is a good choice for a first follow! I have a few of his recipes for pastries bookmarked (including chouquettes, my favorite 😍) and I’m waiting for the perfect moment to try them out!
I'm the same with podcasts! It seems to be the "in" thing that everyone is into, but whenever I try to I get distracted looking at other things and all of a sudden its 15minutes later and the I've not listened to a thing! I can only do it in the car where my only focus driving.
I’m loving how that section of the post is technically about cauliflower rice but the solomillo has stolen the show! 😂 It was delicious, though, so I understand all the fuss. If I could flash ship it to you, I would!
Almost time to have dinner here and ...Gosh! I just took a look at that first picture... the "solomillo"!!! Looks delicious!! 😀 And great idea using the poll! 👌🤗 A pleasure to read your posts!!
Thanks, Ángeles! The solomillo was cooked perfectly, which is hard to find sometimes unless you go to a dedicated place for meat/steak. We were impressed! Thanks so much for reading! 😊
I really like the cauliflower rice from Trader Joe’s! I never thought I would but I did and so did my husband which is a win! Your a great cook and so is David!
I like the TJ’s cauliflower rice, too! Too bad I can’t pack it in my suitcase to bring back like I can the spices 😂 I need to try to make it from scratch again sometime.
Thanks for sharing the courgette recipe! Also, the internet is a tiny place. I made Deb's tomatoes and beans this week too - so good!
Oh, and I feel the need to inform you that we have the same favourite mustard!
You’re welcome, and thank you for sharing it in the first place! I love that we both chose the tomato and beans! Great minds :)
Isn’t that mustard fantastic? Are you still able to find it in stores near you? It’s literally been months for us!

Love the new poll feature, so useful!

I’m glad I’m not the only one!
Whoa I need that solomillo in my life. Like now. I'm hungry. Now.

I’m drooling, Kiki! 🤤 wonderful post and that steak looks amazing (so does everything else!) 👏👏👏
Thanks, Jolene! I may or may not have stolen a bite of David’s steak and it was indeed amazing 🤩😂
