Mmmm I think it's up to the cook. My boyfriend always adds onion, I don't. Not sure about the Spanish version to be honest, you know more than me in that department!
Interesting! It varies by region/personal preference here, too. I usually like it with onion, but we were in Galicia last summer and most places we went to made it without and it was still incredibly delicious!
Thanks, Jolene! Was it a Blackhawks game? I lived in Chicago when the Hawks were just getting huge again and won the Stanley Cup in 2009. I love live hockey games and was luckily able to go to one when I was there. I’m sure I had a beer or two then, too!
Yes! and they were playing the Rangers (I’m originally from NYC and was there with two of my brothers and friend from NY) so it was a big night (Rangers won) we were right behind the Rangers penalty box and it was a rough game! (Aren’t they all! 😂🏒) I didn’t realize you’d lived here Kiki!
That’s such a cool experience to have your NYC and Chicago worlds collide (literally, on the ice 🤣)! Yep, I went to Northwestern for grad school and then worked in the city for a few years. Chicago is such a special place; I still miss it!
Never been to a live sport event, but I could do with a bocadillo anyway :) potato frittata for me please!
Haha bocadillos are good anytime, no sporting event needed! Does a potato frittata traditionally have onion, or only potato and egg?

I enjoyed reading this so much, Kiki!. The crusty bread filled with all the delicious choices you describe sound so good!
The last live sporting event I attended was a hockey game last December at night and we drank beer!

It is and I hope you’ll have a chance visit again soon, Kiki!
